ISSP Origins
The roots of ISSP can be traced back to the Irish spiritual teacher Robert Moore. Bob Moore dedicated his life to research and training in Denmark. For more than four decades, he studied and taught the anatomy, physiology and psychology of the subtle energy body, including chakras, auras and meridians. Bob also worked with various forms of meditation, healing, and the liberation of consciousness. This combination led to a profound and valuable training for generations of professionals who went on to teach around the world.
Bart ten Berge trained for over two decades with Bob Moore. With a professional background in medicine, psychology and homeopathy, Bart integrated his knowledge and experience with Bob’s teachings in order to form the seven year Healing Principle Education – which has now been taught internationally for over a quarter of a century. I am a graduate of this seven year course.
Since 2012, the training has been known as the International School of Spiritual Psychology (ISSP). I am affiliated with this school, and my work is informed by the ISSP vision.
ISSP is licensed as a school of education in the Netherlands.
Additional licensing procedures are now underway in the US and Europe. At present Level 1 Education in Spiritual Psychology is a US-accredited postgraduate course for doctors, psychologists and nurses. The Spiritual Psychology Education is currently available in the Netherlands, Israel, Alaska, Spain and the United Kingdom. Get in touch with me to find out about courses in your area.
Ethical code
ISSP espouses a professional and ethical code of conduct for its teachers, therapists and counsellors. To support this, ethical guidelines have been formulated for ISSP students and professionals. Compiled by the ISSP Ethics Committee, these codes are offered as a support and guideline to the ISSP community in order to promote a safe and professional environment for the nurturing of optimal training and personal development.
